WHO WE ARE

It all started back in 1954 when William LaGasse’ Sr. moved to Fort Lauderdale with his wife and five children. Ike Eisenhower was president of the United States, and Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio got married that year.

He started building pools by “hand packing” the concrete in layers around the perimeter pool wall until he reached the top. A pretty grueling procedure, particularly on 8′ to 10′ deep pools which were very common in those days. Pneumatically placed material was not available at that time.

He and the three other pool companies that existed at that time formed the Associated Pool Contractors of Broward County. It was the beginning of a comprehensive pool code that improved their product, and the safety of swimming pools. This of course was done in unity with local building departments.

His sons Bill and Dan started working with him as pre-teens during their school summer breaks, and have grown with the family business since. William Sr. passed away in 1992, and his sons, son-in-laws, grandsons, and a grand daughter have all proudly been involved in taking the family business into the 21st Century. They have evolved into one of the largest public pool and interactive water feature builders since, and also specialize in fountain features, and total pool renovations as well.

Being involved in many current pool and building associations, LaGasse’ has remained at the top by keeping apprised of all codes, safety laws, and issues that effect our industry. They continually keep abreast of new and innovative products to both enhance and improve the world of swimming pools, constantly improving and upgrading their products and methods of construction to assure you of “quality”, at a minimum cost.

The LaGasse’ family has given back to their south Florida community in many ways, sponsoring athletics, local safety broadcasts to teenagers, and continually contributing to dozens of community outreaches like Kids in Distress, Covenant House, Salvation Army, local veterans, as well as the five major children’s hospitals and cancer research centers along the east coast of the United States. “We truly and humbly appreciate our community, and the support we have received over the years from residents, contractors, developers, and friends,” says Dan LaGasse’, President. “We strive to live up to our slogan as South Florida’s Proudest name in Swimming Pools since 1954, and will continue to do so by being fair, honest, and supportive to our community. But don’t just take our word for it, contact your local building department, Consumer Affairs, or Better Business Bureau, and ask. Better yet, ask a neighbor about their LaGasse’ Pool. Over 14,000 own one.”
